Volunteer of the year 2008
 

John David Doidge is the winner of the inaugural volunteer of the year award for his excellent service as a volunteer in the Northern Territory.

He has been a stalwart of Scouts NT for 30 years helping out in all manner of functions including training and acting as treasurer.

 

Chris Walsh of Alice Springs was conferred an honourable mention for his devotion to the needs of Alice Springs Hospital and its patients through his work for the Drovers.

He has been pivotal in ensuring patients can travel from home to hospital and back again.

Enid Warland for her work at the Prison Fellowship in Alice Springs

Margaret Waters for her work at the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame Old Gaol

And Christine Heron of Softball NT for her work in Darwin and across the Territory.
